The project is located in the heart of the City of Industry’s retail and commercial district off SR-60. This complex 5-stage project has 19 phases that require the closure of the City’s main thoroughfare during construction. The project involves over 14,000 feet of railroad track construction, over 10,000 feet of retaining wall construction, 3 bridges structures (UPRR, roadway, and pedestrian), as well as extensive deep (20-35ft) sewer and storm drain construction with dewatering measures. The City’s primary goal for successful completion of this project is zero impact to adjacent businesses. The construction of the Union Pacific Railroad overcrossing requires a railroad shoofly and detour road, a pump station, and new storm drain system.
