"Approximately 2,000 ft. of existing water main was replaced with 12-inch C900 PVC water pipe on Ocean Avenue and 200 feet of 6-inch pipe on Olympic Place South. After the water line was installed, 110,000 square feet of roadway was ground and capped with rubberized hot mix asphalt. The work began next to the highly congested entrance to the Santa Monica Pier and continued south almost to Pico Boulevard."
