Berg provided document and project controls utilizing Primavera Expedition and project office management in support of the Jobe team. Berg staff set up project files, created initial directory of files, and log of anticipated submittals. Additional set-up included customizing default settings, distribution lists, logs and modules to conform with project requirements within the Expedition format. As the only team member with prior Expedition experience, Berg staff assisted with the training of management personnel in the use of Expedition.
Berg provided office engineering and inspection for the $20 million renovation of the facility, which provided a new bus terminal, a long-term parking structure, and passenger amenities including ATMs, restrooms, meeting rooms, automated bus ticket dispensers and a passenger drop-off area.
$34 million project, which involved the reconstruction and improvement of the Van Nuys FlyAway Bus Terminal, construction of a short-term parking lot, bus parking area, a five-level, longterm parking structure, long-term surface parking lot, passenger amenities and landscaping improvements. New facilities were constructed while the original terminal and parking facilities remained open, making the transition virtually seamless.
